About Us

Welcome to the Natural Health Digital Store, inspired by the life and legacy of Dr. Reginald dePelichy, a distinguished chiropractor who dedicated over 50 years to his practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. dePelichy, affectionately known as "Dr. D" by his extended family of patients, staff, and friends, retired in 2018 after a long and fulfilling career. His family attributes his remarkable longevity to his deep understanding of human biochemistry, as well as his vegetarian, alcohol-free lifestyle.

Dr. D’s Journey

Dr. dePelichy was born and raised in Belgium, where he earned a degree in Chemistry before pursuing graduate studies at Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. Upon completing his chiropractic education, Dr. D married Joy, his lifelong partner, which led to his U.S. citizenship and immediate induction into military service. He served for four years as a Private First Class and physical therapist at the United States Pentagon, followed by an additional two years in the Army Reserve.

After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, Dr. D worked as a chemist at Lawter Chemical Company in Elgin, Illinois, where he invented a new shade of fluorescent blue paint. This innovation earned him a patent, which was assigned to Lawter according to the terms of his employment agreement.

In 1967, Dr. D and Joy relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where Joy pursued dual bachelor’s degrees in teaching and performance as a vocal and piano/organ artist at the University of New Mexico. She later completed a graduate degree in psychology at Webster University and joined Dr. D’s practice as a psychotherapist.

Building a Legacy in Albuquerque

Initially, Dr. D worked as a chemist in printed circuit board fabrication, commuting between Albuquerque and Los Alamos, while preparing for the New Mexico chiropractic board exams. After passing his boards in 1969, he began practicing full-time out of their home in the Northeast Heights of Albuquerque.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, a portion of San Mateo near the East First National Bank Building was being converted into a commercial district. Homes between Central and Indian School on the west side of San Mateo were repurposed as office buildings, while those on the east side were removed for road expansion. Dr. D purchased one of these homes and converted it into his first chiropractic office at 1919 San Mateo NE.

As his practice grew, Dr. D expanded the team to include three additional chiropractors, a massage therapist, a psychotherapist (his wife, Joy), and an office manager. However, the practice soon outgrew its space, prompting a move to 615 Ortiz Drive NE, where he converted a warehouse into a spacious clinic. The new clinic featured a large presentation room, where Dr. D held weekly lectures on integrated health and wellness. These lectures attracted a wide range of attendees, including a group of young innovators who would later go on to create a globally recognized household computing product.

Expanding the Practice

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Dr. D’s practice flourished, with demand for his services exceeding capacity. The growing patient base led to the expansion of the practice, with Dr. D’s associates helping to manage the overflow. His reputation as a healer and educator became widely known in the community.

Retirement and Reflection

In 2017, Dr. D was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer, which had been asymptomatic for over 15 years. After retiring in 2018, he began a new chapter of self-healing, integrating the knowledge he had gained throughout his career with advanced cancer therapies, including ADT (Androgen Deprivation Therapy) and radiation.

As of December 2024, Dr. D continues to live a fulfilling life. Although he no longer provides nutritional advice due to mild memory impairment related to his cancer treatment, he remains deeply connected to the many patients and friends who were part of his life’s work. Dr. D spends his days attending worship services, gardening, and caring for his beloved wild family of birds, replenishing the 35 bird feeders he maintains in his yard.

A Legacy of Love and Healing

This website, created with love by Dr. D’s daughter, is dedicated to continuing the legacy of health and healing he built over his five-decade career. Proceeds from the sales of the products featured here will support the nutritional aspect of Dr. D’s ongoing cancer therapy.

Dr. D’s heart remains connected to the community he served so passionately for many years. We invite you to explore the digital store and honor the legacy of this remarkable healer.
